Breathable Mattress Storage Bag: Protect Your Bed from Allergens, Bed Bugs, and Mildew
You may need to store a mattress for one of many reasons; but spending the time and effort of storing the mattress maybe causing more headaches than its worth, if you don’t store it correctly in the first place.
Because of the potential elements that can cause damage (insects, mice, dust and moisture to name a few), one of the most important steps to storing your mattress is covering it correctly. Seal your mattress in a breathable mattress bag. Make sure you get the right size by measuring the thickness as well as the length and width dimensions.
Place of storage is also important. Extreme temperatures can affect the mattress components leading to mattress faultiness and possibly voiding the warranty, so the best place to store your mattress is in a climate controlled environment. Avoid storing if area is prone to flooding, or if there is excessive moisture, basements quite often have these problems. Also avoid setting your mattress directly on a cement floor, because cement tends to hold moisture which maybe a potential risk to your mattress. Other harmful areas would be those that are exposed to direct sunlight.
Ideally, the sealed covered mattress should be stored flat. Nothing should be stored on top of your mattress for any length of time, because of the chance of indentions and lumpiness that would cause. Mattresses are not designed to support themselves on their sides. But if this is the only option for you, make sure the weight is dispersed evenly on the whole side; make sure it is not leaning, since even small bends may warp the mattress. Leaving it stored on its side for a long period of time may also cause the material to shift causing a lumpy mattress.
Whatever your reason that you have to store your mattress, remember to do it right, so that your mattress investment will be healthy and ready to use when you need it.

This is a great idea. My mattress will now be protected from dirt, dusts and other particles. I really hate dirts, so this is a good news for me.
