How can we keep our memory foam mattress cool?
We have a memory foam mattress and we are finding it really hot at night. Is there anything we can do or buy to keep the mattress cool? Thanks!
Angela
Hi Angela,
A wool mattress pad will help. I recommend the washable Snugfleece Imperial wool mattress pad.
It seems counter intuitive because wool is a great insulator, but it also
wicks away moisture that can cause heat to build up around your body and
provides a little airflow between you and your body.
Also, you will naturally need to use less covers for a memory foam mattress,
compared to an innerspring mattresses. No matter what you do, an all foam
bed will retain more heat than an innerspring mattress that has airflow
through the springs that bellows whenever you move on the bed.
