Why Buy Leggett & Platt® Adjustable Bed Bases?

We sell Leggett and Platt adjustable beds made in the USA for two main reasons. First, they have great customer service, and second, they supply all the necessary spare parts and service techs across the US that can have you bed fixed in less than a week.

The customer service at Leggett & Platt® is the best. We’ve purchased Leggett & Platt® products for 8 years and they have always gone out of their way to help us handle any issue a customer may have.  On occasion, a part may break, and when it does, they are right there to fix the part and get the bed running again. They keep the parts in a distribution center in North Carolina and can usually ship the part the next day.

We used to sell an adjustable bed made in China. I was pleased with the quality but I couldn’t get parts for customers if they had an issue.  For example, we sold a China made adjustable bed to a customer in Florida. The customer accepted freight delivery of the adjustable bed base because the box looked to be in good shape.  Then a day later, the customer set up the base and noticed one side was sitting lower than the other.   The frame was bent due to shipping damage.  We of course have people all over the country that can repair or replace parts on the adjustable, but the problem was there are no parts in the US for this type of issue.  I contacted the factory in China, and they said it could take 2 months to ship the part to the US. I didn’t feel it was fair to make our customer wait 2 months, so I shipped another one for free. Like you, we buy things online, and feel it is ridiculous to wait 2 months to get something that should have worked upon arrival.

So we stopped selling adjustable beds made in China, not because of quality, but because they couldn’t be fixed. If a Chinese manufacturer ever exports a quality adjustable bed to the US, and spare parts are available, I’ll gladly sell their bed. But until then, I feel the best choice for our business AND our customers is to stick with Leggett & Platt®. They have all the necessary spare parts and they have service techs across the US that can have your bed fixed in less than a week.
