The Nurture Bed has a comfort support layer (middle layer) designed to give proper support while sleeping on your back and pressure relieving comfort when sleeping on your side. It allows heavier areas of your body, like your hips and shoulders, to sink into the mattress further. This gives better support to lighter and more delicate areas like your lower back and neck.
Traditional memory foam mattresses have 1 base layer. The Nurture Bed has 2, a softer comfort support layer over a firmer base layer. The two base layers work together, allowing the memory foam to do its job well and not flatten out at areas of highest pressure.
The 2 layer base works particularly well for people over 180lbs, by helping prevent the memory foam from becoming fully compressed in areas of greatest pressure.
The Nurture Bed provides pressure point relief, prevents the “hammock effect” (unnatural curving of the spine), promotes deep sleep, and increases blood circulation. It does not transfer motion, so you can sleep while your partner gets in and out of bed, and it does not require flipping.

Bayer Softcel VE1100 is a revolutionary memory foam made by Bayer® MaterialScience that goes into every Nurture Bed. Softcel is the material that makes up the top layer of your mattress that conforms perfectly to your body and provides unsurpassed pressure point relief.
Ultracel U3000 foam technology from Bayer MaterialScience is the latest development for the production of high-support (HS) and high-resilience (HR) flexible cushioning foam. Bayer HR base foam makes up the base layers of your Nurture Bed memory foam mattress. It provides deep support, ensuring that your spine is in proper alignment.

Bayer memory foam and HR base foam are produced with high-performance properties that provide superior comforter, support and durability beyond those of other competitor's foam products.
Bayer foam has higher support properties and better fatigue resistance than conventional foams of the same density, so it won't bottom out or "dish" under extended use. It is also much livelier and bounces back faster than other foams.
Is Bayer® Foam Comfortable?
Completely. Bayer foams provide a comfortable balance of surface softness and deep down firmness. They don’t feel too “mushy” or too hard but always just right.
Will Bayer® Foam Stay Comfortable?

The Nurture Bed Foundation
| The Nurture Bed Foundation provides a firm, flat base for the Nurture Bed Mattress. The foundation does not flex when pressure is applied. The Nurture Bed Mattress can be ordered seperately or together with a foundation. The Nurture Bed will not perform properly with a box spring or other improper base. Please note that old foundations (sold before 7/2007) do not meet current federal flamability standards.The Nurture Bed Foundation DOES meet new standards and has a fire retardant integration system sewn into the cover to ensure your family's safety. |
