Sellers know that consumers often pick the widget with the longest list of features for the best price, without asking whether those features are beneficial, or even necessary.

 

Mattress makers and retailers are always aware, when producing their next mattress that it has to have some cool and unique features. They understand that a simple bed, although superior in quality, may not be able to stand out amongst the crowd.

The memory foam and pocket coils are great pressure relieving materials, but they are buried under multiple layers that make them ineffectual.

 

Beds like this sell for $2,000 - $4,000. The price may be justified when you consider how much work it takes to get all that stuff in there. But the added layers and expense do not add comfort or performance.
